Pros: Easy to hookup, Easy to Use, Picture Quality, Sound Quality, Value for Money
"Don't know how long it's been, but it's a while. It has performed well and while it is only 480i, it's only a 32". This replaced a 25 year old ******* that was on it's last legs. It's hooked up to a HD-DVR and a SD DVD player. It also faces a large window, if that gives you any idea of the picture depth, clarity and brightness. Plus, I got it cheap. $449 and change ain't bad, even if it is a Funai. That might help some of you with remote problems. Do some research! Oh, yeah. I only expected 2-3 years out of this, so the 3-yr extended warranty was a no-brainer. All for around $500. This now my main TV, not by choice, but that's another story. The HD is marginally better at 480i, but you get what you pay for. I like this TV long time..."

"The Sylvania 32 inch is amazing. It has great HD capability, I've plugged just about anything you can name into this thing: X360, Xbox, Wii, and my PC, and everything works just peachy. I, like someone else has written, have to use the rabbit ears for local TV programming in HD and it can be bothersome. I'm a big fan of Lost, and I've noticed the pixel refresh rate on the Sylvania is a little slow. Because the show likes to cut to black very quickly it will leave "ghost" impressions on the screen, and while it's not really a problem it can be annoying. I bought this when it was on sale in December, and it's passed the 90 day test *knock on wood*. Even at the regular price I'd still consider this a great bargain. I'm extremely happy with this TV."

"I've had this tv for almost 2 weeks and have had no problems with it other than needing to use 2 remotes for now. It has a really nice picture and sound and so much better than my old tv. A previous reviewer asked if there was a wallmount for it which I did find easily. Also if you look online there's a larger selection, hope this helps."

"I bought this 32" model to compliment my other HDTV in the house. As you know, once you start watching High Def TV, it is painful to watch regular TV anymore. I bought this TV from KMart for a great price (see other reviews) and am very satified. Good pic, good sound, nice design to look at. The only downfall is the built in High Def tuner. I cannot receive local channels in HD through Directv so I use an antenna (rabbit ears) for both of my HD sets. My other TV, a Toshiba receives all local channels just fine, but this Sylvania has a hard time picking them up and the picture freezes to much to even watch, even using the same antenna. Very satisfied overall though!!"

"I was looking for a 32" HDTV and came across this one for $477 on Dec 14, setup was easy, picture is great. I had trouble with getting the set to work with a universal remote, I got the One For All 8-device Universal Learning Remote URC-8910 and it works great after I called ONE for All customerservice and had the remote upgraded over the phone, it works all function for the TV. What a great buy for a HDTV.."

"I would give this a 5 star rating for the quality of the picture alone.The hi-def channels are awesome! However, trying to get a universal remote programmed is a nightmare! Calling customer service was a joke! The girl that answered was rude and abrupt and of absolutely no help... Unless you purchase an upgradeable remote such as a logitech harmony be prepared to use 2 remotes for cable/dish and television."

"They had six 32 inch HDTVs on display. This unit had the second best picture of those in the store. Even better than the JVC that was $999. The best picture was on the Sony, but it wasn't $300 dollars better (The Sony was $799 and this one was on sale for $477). I only have SD sources right now, so I found a channel with letterbox and had the TV stretch the picture to full screen, better than I would have imagined. Very easy menu to navigate and the remote is clearly marked with the most used selections having there own button. Excellent value. $Got it for $477, it went to $669 the next day."

"At $477 for a 32 inch TV this was a deal I could not pass up. The TV has very sturdy construction and provides a better than average picture, especially in HD. Sound is excellent as well. Of all the places I have looked for an LCD TV for our bedroom this was by far the best deal.Kmart has had the best deals on most electronics this holiday season, far better than similar stores."

"I'd been waiting for a sub $500 deal on a 32" LCD HDTV. This came along and I pulled the trigger. Delivery was quick (4 days) and I had it set up with basic cable, Wii and PS2 in about 45 minutes...mostly moving out the old Sony tube and repositioning the connections and video game units. Started out by doing an auto channel scan on my basic cable. As I suprisingly found out with the HDTV I bought last year for upstairs, I had several HD channels on my basic cable! CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX and a few others showed up in their various levels of HD format! Picture looks great and sound is suprisingly good! Regarding the videogame connections...I heard and confirmed with my 1st HDTV that you should switch from the standard composite video cables (single yellow RCA plug) that come with the Wii and PS2 to COMPONENT video cables (red, green + blue RCA plugs - have to buy this cable seperately). WHAT A DIFFERENCE these component cables made!! You'll want to switch to these if you have a DVD player that supports them!! You'll also need to configure your Wii and PS2 to use the component connection through their setup screens. Also configure the screen format to 16:9. My only complaint about the TV is the lousy remote. The volume and channel buttons are not very positive. This is not a Samsung or Sony TV!! Image quality and blur associated with motion are minor annoyances, but the large screen size and HD resolution are still way better than the tube TV it replaces. I scored it an average of 3 stars because it provides good, baseline results. I'm happy with my purchase! Last Word: I also purchased the 2 year extended warranty. My HDTV upstairs lost it's sound output 3 months after I purchased it. It was covered by warranty (1 year) but I still had to pay for shipping ($50) to get it fixed. Wanted to be sure and cover myself this time around...4 days and counting! I'll check back if I have any reliability problems."

"We bought the first 32" TV on December 10th while it was on sale. We got it home, took it out of the box, plugged everything in and it would not respond to the remote in order to complete set up. After doing all the things the Owners manual tells you, we called the HELP line only to learn that the TV's sensor button was not working properly so we had to box it back up and exchange it for another 32" Sylvania that night (8:30 p.m.) We get the 2nd TV set home and set it up. Luckily the remote worked but the images were all distorted like you were watching some kind of digital computer game. I again called the HELP line and after the Customer Service Rep walked us through anything he could think of, he advised us to take this one back, as well, which we did. We then went somewhere else, paid $175 more for another brand and will never buy a Sylvania again."

"We bought this tv this morning. Now we are home with it and the wall bracket to mount it and discover it is not working. The company says they will not warranty it if we wall mount it so I am assuming you can not find a mount that will work for it. "I bought the 37" Sylvania TV from K Mart when it was on sale. It is almost identical the 32". The picture quality is amazing unless you have Time Warner Cable, but every television in the house looks bad with that cable service. The sound is what is expected from a low cost TV. But if you hook it up to a surround sound system its great. The remote does feel cheap but I think almost every remote does. DVD quality is great. Have owned it for about 2 months now with no tech. issues thus far. But that is what the ext. warranties are purchased for. I was told Vizio is a good brand but once I found out by the associate at Walmart that they replaced the display model 3 times due to it going out I changed my mind. Just do your research and decide for yourself what TV is best for your home before you just buy anything. But I would recommend this TV to anyone."

"overall very happy and pleasantly surprised with this television. Not happy with the wide screen setting as the picture goes into a wavy mirror feel. I did have one or two moments where the sound didn't match the movement of the lips. I would recommend the warranty as you just never know but a nice television in the end."
